SE: I "DEGEN I KÖKET" rör sig degen som om den vore i sitt eget habitat. Delar av degkroppen undersöks medan tiden tickar. Med ficklampornas hjälp transformeras kropparna och degen i skuggbilder i rummet. En dubbelhet uppstår i att både undersöka kroppen och bli granskad.
EN: In "DEGEN I KÖKET" ('THE DOUGH IN THE KITCHEN') the dough moves as if it were in its own habitat. Parts of the dough body are explored while time ticks on. With the help of flashlights, the bodies and the dough are transformed into shadow images in the room. A duality arises in both examining the body and being examined."
About Degen utan Namn ('The Dough without a Name') is a Swedish-Danish performance group who was born in a tree house in Lund, in the summer of 2020. @degenutannamn
We are two queer individuals who find strength and power by joining together in a body.
Working together in the group and with others in a playful and curious way, empowers us and creates a feeling of togetherness, in a society where queer bodies and individuals face oppression and exclusion.
We push boundaries, perceptions and norms and use the dough as a tool, both concretely and metaphorically, to examine our various common bodies. A free space where we as queers can breathe and where we as artists can grow, challenge ourselves and play.
